If you’re looking for a few movies to watch in the next few years, then you’re in luck. Maestro is already a big contender for an Oscar. With Bradley Cooper back in the director’s chair and in the leading role, this will surely be a blockbuster. Moreover, Venom 3 is already being marketed as a potential sequel. If these aren’t enough reasons to see these movies, here are a few that you should catch up with.
Transformers Rise of the Beasts and Strays
Two live-action Transformers movies are in the works. The first, titled “Beast Wars,” will feature the Autobots and Decepticons as time-traveling descendants in prehistoric times. The second, titled “Strays,” will focus on the character of Bumblebee, a human that transforms into an animal. According to Deadline, director Steven Caple Jr. has already begun injecting ’90s hip-hop culture into the project.
The third installment of the series will introduce the new characters. While this isn’t certain, it will probably be better than the first. If the franchise does take off, there’s a chance that the new films will follow the saga of the Decepticons. If that happens, fans can look forward to a new trilogy of Transformers movies. Hopefully, the third film will be a CG animated movie with a storyline that ties into the rest of the series.
Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Part One
After the smash hit of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony is moving to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe with its first live-action film Spider-Man: Into the Web-Verse, a sequel is on the way. The movie starred Miles Morales, who plays the iconic hero Spider-Man. Hailee Steinfeld voices Spider-Gwen, and Oscar Isaac voices Spider-Man 2099.
The Spider-Man Into the Web-Verse sequel is getting pushed back again, with Sony now aiming for a June 2, 2023 release date. The sequel is expected to come out three years later, on March 29, 2024. Dune: Part Two
The long-awaited sequel to Dune has been delayed by almost a month, and it will now open in theaters on Nov. 17, 2023. The new date is right before Thanksgiving, a time that traditionally sees high box office numbers. As a result, the movie will open around the same time as The Hunger Games prequel and TrollsTopia. Despite the delayed release date, the film will still open in theaters in November 2023.
The first film followed the adventures of Paul Atreides, a human-like character who awoke in the desert and ended up destroying the city of Arrakis. While he was a shrewd politician and ultra-pragmatist, the sequel follows his quest for power and redemption, which will take him on a long journey. And the world is bound to pay the price.
Venom 3
While the official release date of Venom 3 is unknown, it is highly likely that the sequel will be released within the same window as Venom 2: El Muerto. Venom 3 will likely be released alongside Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web. The official release date has yet to be revealed, but it is anticipated that it will happen in the early part of the decade. So, when exactly will Venom 3 come out?
Venom 3’s director has not been announced yet, although Andy Serkis is likely to return to the role of Venom. It is not clear whether the movie will be a standalone film, or part of the Spider-Man universe. However, it is expected to take place sometime in 2023. The plot of the movie is still a mystery, but it should feature more interactivity with the Spider-Man franchise.
Baby Shark film
The most popular YouTube video of all time, “Baby Shark,” is getting a feature-length film. A new film, titled Baby Shark: The Big Movie, is set to hit theaters sometime in 2023. Co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Pinkfong Company, the movie is a full-length feature that follows the titular apex predator and his family through the dangerous city of Chomp City.
The film’s release date isn’t yet set, but we do know that it will be released on the streaming service. While we still have to wait for its official release date, we can enjoy some other projects in the meantime. The Paramount+ channel has several upcoming movies and television shows, including a new Halo series, a spin-off of Knuckles, two Dora the Explorer series, and a number of original movies. We’ll have to wait until 2023 to see what this new animated series is all about, but we’ll have to see for sure.
